One ought, every day at least, to hear a little song, read a good poem, see a fine picture, and, if it were possible, to speak a few reasonable words.

Fall Writer’s Collaborative 2022 with The Editor’s Ear

Meet me and a cohort of other serious writers to hone your craft by bringing work-in-progress to the table for a reading and soft feedback from me and your peers. Establish a sense of accountability with a weekly writing deadline to have work to share with the cohort plus, develop a community of writing partners! We’ll meet Sunday afternoons for eight weeks beginning Mid-September through Mid-November, 2022 from 10 AM to 12 PM CST via Zoom. Participants are limited to five to create an intimate setting and to allow time for plenty of sharing and discussion. Your $100 tution holds your spot and includes all eight zoom meetings and one close reading by d. ellis phelps of up to three poems with written commentary. I look forward to writing with you!


Waco Wordfest 2022: Sept. 31- Oct. 2

I’m delighted to be making a live appearance at this citywide annual (free!) arts festival held in Waco, Texas where I’ll be doing a reading from my several collections and a writing craft workshop.
